La obra Jesuscristo Super Estrella para toda una generación de chilenos llegó a los oídos gracias a la versión de Camilo Sesto y Ángela Carrasco. Por alguna razón siempre me interesó ir mas atrás, saber cual era la versión de la película, y cual era la versión original; hasta que llegué a ella; y personalmente es la mejor versión que he escuchado.

Esta versión original, grabada en UK, contiene excelentes interpretaciones vocales y musiscales, en la voz Ian Gillan, voz principal de Deep Purple en esa época en su mejor período en el papel de Jesús, y un conjunto fuertemente rock, libre, con impresionantes líneas de bajo y con una fusión con la orquesta espectacular.

No hay versión mas rock de esta ópera que ésta, cuando aún no llegaba a prsentarse en vivo, cuando nunca pensó llegar a Broadway, ni al cine, ni encontrar versiones en diversos idiomas alrededor del mundo.

Los dejamos con este segundo CD del Box dedicado a producciones realizadas por George Martín. Este CD se llama "Transports of Delights", que podía traducirse cómo "Transporte de delicias" o "Transporte a la felicidad" y compila diversos registros de caracter cómico producidos por Martin desde la década de 1950 a mediados de la década de 1960.

Este es un tipo de producto que no se conoce muy masivamente por estos rincones, y por la época tambien no era muy frecuente la edición de material en español de este tipo; por lo cual puede sonar medio raro, pero para los que no sepan inglés pueden tomarse como grabaciones experimentales, y entre eso dar con un par de joyitas por lo bajo, por ejemplo el fántastico duo de Peter Seller y Sophía Loren en una canción, y  casi al final escuchar a Peter Sellers declamando al mas puro estilo "Rey Lear" el tema "A Hard Day's Night" de The Beatles.

Después de meses sin publicar nada, los dejo con este disco en su edición argentina. Hoy falleció George Martin, y este disco corresponde al último que produjo como una manera de despedida, allá por el año 1998, en donde varias canciones de The Beatles son reinterpretadas por varios artistas.

Un disco que contiene algunas sorpresas, dejelo avanzar.
